The Power of Friendship

I saw the best story on CBS This Morning a few minutes ago. It was about a band of friends who take care of their mutual friend, Harriet for years. Harriet has multiple sclerosis and is confined to a wheelchair. Five nights a week, her friends rotate shifts. They massage her limbs, they play bridge, and they do whatever it takes to make sure Harriet has what she needs mentally and physically. They are being a FRIEND. They’ve done it for years and are still going strong. I’ve provided a link below.

This is what the power of friendship, the power of positivity, the power of community, the power of empathy, and just simply looking beyond our own world can do. I’m just as guilty of getting caught up in my own little world. My continued prayer from here on out is that I can be just as much of a friend to others as these ladies are to Harriet.

Please take a moment to watch the video and reflect on your own circle of friends.
